After a serious accident with my "big" horse, I settled on buying "little horses" for my Granddaughter Natalie. I started off with a couple of little rogue colts and one brood mare - all miniature ponies.
A friend told me to contact her sister-in-law as she had minis too. I introduced myself to Desley Rumpf of Kildaire Miniature Horse Stud at a show and there began my love for these little horses.
I purchased two fillies from Desleys brood, the two being the last of the foals for that season. Both were offspring of the legendary Hobo, Kildaire I'm a Smart Chick and Kildaire Tennesee Rose. I had so much fun with the girls and Desley so went back for two more...then three more...then, well just more.
During this time I also acquired Hobo's son, Rocknee Little Hobo and sold my little colts.
I learnt so much from Desley, she was always available when I needed help and introduced me to showing minis. I have met a lot of people along the way, made friends and value the assistance and advice I received. Thank you, I treasure this most of all.
So my family had grown and I enlisted the help of my other family, my husband Garry, who feeds, rugs and brings up the rear, my son Brad, who takes care of the fencing, stable building and the heavy work, his wife Anne, who has been my rock and now takes care of the clipping and showing of our little brood, my granddaughter Natalie, who at just 6 years old has a wonderful affinity with the minis and can often be seen "training" our little ones. Grandson Jack is just 1 year old but has been introduced to the horses and he just loves them, won't be long....!
We have 35 acres just south of The Caves Queensland and we have called our little patch
Nats Run 'Lil Horses
and so we begin....
